 Strong Industries –

Strong Lady Mechanics (For-Profit Business)

Starting For-Profit First (Required Step Before Nonprofit Launch)

Strong Lady Mechanics opens March 2026 as a women-run, for-profit auto repair shop.
It is beginning as a for-profit business only because Somer must build the garage first before she can legally launch the nonprofit programs.

Somer is not paying herself at the beginning. Operating for-profit is simply the first required step so she can:

  • build the shop,

  • qualify for grants,

  • establish the nonprofit structure, and

  • launch training and recovery programs for women.

Once the nonprofit is fully approved, Strong Lady Mechanics will operate alongside Strong Industries to provide training, hands-on experience, and new opportunities for women entering the trades.

Future Programs Planned Under Strong Industries

These programs are in development and may be finalized once the nonprofit filing is complete:

God’s Hood (Faith-Based Sober Living Home)

A vision for a faith-based sober living home for women and children.

Community Support & Charity

As Strong Industries grows, Somer plans to build opportunities for support, training, and resources for women and families.
